Acer to be first with Chrome OS netbook?

Acer will be the first company to launch a Chrome powered netbook, if the buzz on the grapevine is to be believed.

DigiTimes reports that the Chairman of the company, JT Wang, is confident that Acer will be first out of the gate with Google’s Chrome operating system.

An industry source apparently claimed the netbook has been in development since the middle of this year, and should be out in the second half of 2010.

Not long to wait, then.
