Nintendo DS has sold over ten million

After the recent news that the Wii has become the fastest selling console in the UK ever, Nintendo has more cause to celebrate, this time regarding the performance of the DS.

Chart Track has reported that Nintendo’s faithful handheld has topped the ten million mark in the UK.

As a quick bit of maths will tell you, that means one in six people in this country own a DS, a pretty impressive figure indeed.

In fact, these sales figures make the DS the biggest selling console in British history, no less.

The champagne must be flowing freely at Nintendo UK’s headquarters.
