Dallas Cowboys delivers 3D Technology

The Dallas Cowboys American Football team made history with a 3D broadcast of a live sports event which took place at the Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, USA.

The entire crowd were given a free set of 3D glasses and during the second half of the game the giant screens that are positioned at the centre of the stadium, where replays and other clips are shown, were converted from 2D to 3D.

The screens are huge, measuring 160 ‘ x 72 ‘ and in fact are supposed to be the largest in the world, while the technology that made it possible was provided by HDlogix.

According to reports the screens may have cost $40 million, but the 3D technology was not up to much and eventually the screens were switched back to HD!
