
Television has been enhanced with a series of innovations, including video players, satellite TV, DVD players, plasma, high definition and now 3DTV.
It is clear that 3DTV is the next commercial step in the development of home entertainment but, as with video and DVD players, formats are key to the success of a brand or indeed the technology itself.
The Korean based manufacturer LG is keen to be ahead of the competition, starting as early as next year.
To this end the company has formed a partnership with SkyLife a content provider.
Together the firms will produce what they are calling a 3D ecosystem, where LG produces the equipment and SkyLife produces the content.
Together they wrap up the market in Korea and LG will able to conquer to world with its tried and tested 3D televisions.
