The ViewSonic ViewBook range of long battery life laptops has arrived on these shores.
It features four models, boasting 12.1, 13.3 and 14 inch displays, plus there’s a 13.3 inch Pro model. All run windows 7, and have low voltage processors which mean they have a claimed battery life of eight hours.
Twelve hours if you buy the ViewBook Pro, and hot-swap out the DVD drive for a second battery when needed, a clever touch.
Other goodies include an HDMI port, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, and an anti-glare screen so the sun doesn’t become a nuisance when trying to use your new toy.
The cost depends on which model you plump for – the basic 12.1 inch version is known as the ViewBook 120, and starts at £470, with the top of the range Pro tipping the scales at £700.
