Xbox 360 Arcade slashed to £110

Darren Allan

It’s the week before Christmas (in case you hadn’t noticed), and several major retailers have slashed the price of the Xbox 360 Arcade by £50.

At HMV and GAME, the most basic version of Microsoft’s console now retails at £110.

Although at the start of the year the Arcade model only cost £130 – it was hiked up to £160 by Microsoft in the summer, for reasons best known to themselves.

And evidently it hasn’t been selling too well since, if these price cuts are anything to go by.

Nevertheless, it’s an undeniably cheap Xbox now, although still a fairly expensive last minute stocking filler.

Its for reasons best known to everyone except the author. The fall in value of the pound.

Its not a mystery, or a conspiracy.
