Welho, the cable broadcaster based in Finland, has begun testing out 3D TV with customers located around the Helsinki area.
The company is another broadcaster looking to offer a full 3D TV channel at some point during 2010.
This is great for 3D TV, as the more it is used and developed the easier it will become for households to enjoy the benefits of 3D TV without breaking the bank.
The system that Welho will be using for the test is the Philips WOWvx technology.
This is what is known as auto stereoscopic and therefore does not require the user to wear glasses, however this technology has been abandoned by Philips and will not be used in any commercial application.
Consumers will be able to see the difference between 3D and normal TV at the Welho store in Helsinki.
