It seems amazing that a few days of cold and snow can impact on the UK’s technology in such a big way, but this current weather could mean that viewers might find they have to retune their digital TV set top box one or two times, as it is causing interruptions to the service.
Angry viewers have been contacting the BBC and the digital TV provider Freeview as the quality of the signal begins to break up and eventually fail.
It seems that the only thing to do is to go through the retuning process, which will help the system to lock onto the strongest signal and enable the viewer to watch TV once more, although it may not be the same channels as they were watching before the snow.
