Granada TV expands into Asia

The international entertainment firm, Granada TV, has made further inroads into the market in Asia by securing a deal with one of the region’s largest pay TV operators, Astro All Asia Networks.

A new channel has been created and is available to an audience of almost three million subscribers across south eastern Asia.

The channel has already been launched in Korea, Singapore and Thailand, with the Singapore service being carried by pay TV platform Star Hub.

Granada TV is one of the more established brands in the UK and is probably most famous for producing the soap series Coronation Street, but has also been responsible for some of the UK’s most important dramas.

As from 2010, viewers in Asia will be able to view Prime Suspect and the 2009 Royal Variety Performance.
