3D HDTV to be the star of the CES

In the world of technology, getting past the Christmas holidays does not mean the end of another year and taking it easy for a few months, because technology firms will now be gearing up for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas early next month.

The one thing that will be making all of the running is 3D HDTV.

All the players will be at the event and so will the media, hoping to capture a sense of what is about to happen in 2010 when it comes to 3D HDTV.

Of course, the 3D movie Avatar will be there, showing the effects and technology used to bring the film to the screen, but it is home technology that will be of more interest.

With Sky bringing a 3D HDTV channel, the technology will hopefully be in place for the consumer.

The 32″ HD screen is too big for the room for which it is intended. Is there likely to be an say, 28/30″ screen in the near future?
