YouTube to offer interactive gaming

It looks like interactive gaming could be showing up on YouTube following the site’s owner, Google, filing a patent known as Web Based System for Generation of Interactive Games based on Digital Videos!

This impressive title actually means the ability to produce computer games and carry them on a video service, which would suggest YouTube.

This patent was filed in February 2009 and it has taken all of this time for it to be published, but now the secret is finally out and everyone can start to analyse what it means.

Basically it would seem that YouTube will be used as a carrier for the interactive games and the user will be able to choose a point within the video to start playing a game from.
