
It seems that the predicted rise in 3D HDTV may not happen fully until 2012, although previously it was believed that this year was going to mark the rise of 3D HDTV.
But it seems that due to the limitations on equipment, content and uncertainty on what sort of format to use, the 3D HDTV rollout will not take place in full until a couple of years later than expected.
As Sony prepares for the CES 2010 show in Las Vegas, 3D HDTV is going to be the hot topic.
Now it seems that this show will be the launch pad for 3D HDTV technology but not the explosion that many industry insiders predicted on the back of the 3D film Avatar.
