Sky TV outlines 3D TV plans

January 7, 2010

The CES 2010 is buzzing with 3D TV technology and BSkyB is there to make sure that its plans to launch the UK’s first 3D Channel are not forgotten about.

The satellite broadcaster has been keen to point out that when its new 3D TV service eventually goes live in the UK, it will be compatible with new products from LG, Panasonic, Samsung and Sony.

These new products are of course 3D Ready TVs, although it seems only a short time ago that HD Ready TVs were being pushed out as the latest in television technology.

The term 3D Ready has been agreed by all of the major manufacturers, to show that their products are capable of receiving the 3D broadcasts from BSkyB and other broadcasters.
