The Boxee Box is one of those devices that is able to stream full HD media over a Wi-Fi connection, limiting the need for cables and wires to the power line.
This is a piece of kit that could revolutionise the way that media is delivered in the home and the maker, D Link, has only been too happy to release some specs at the CES 2010 in Las Vegas.
The set top box will be able to host quite a few video formats such as: H.264 MKV and MOV files, WMV, MP4, AVI, Xvid, Divx and high end audio formats like FLAC.
The system can support 10.1 Flash and this will help the device to receive full HD content.
As for price, it is estimated that the Boxee Box will cost around £125.
