The Channel Islands may be situated just off the coast of France but the digital switchover will still be taking place there.
In fact digital UK has just announced that the digital switchover will be taking place in November 2010.
This means that the islanders have little over ten months to get all of their televisions converted to digital TV, which can be done by either satellite TV from Freesat or BSkyB, and with the free to air digital TV service provided by Freeview.
Every home on the islands will be receiving several leaflets on the switchover and there will be an extensive TV advertising campaign explaining what households need to do and how the switchover will affect them should they decide to do nothing.
