Apple tablet and iPhone OS 4 ready for launch

Fox News has reported that it has spoken to Apple and confirmed that the upcoming January 27th launch event in San Francisco will indeed feature the new tablet PC.

Not only will the iSlate – or whatever name Apple ends up calling it – be unveiled, but it also seems likely that the new incarnation of the iPhone OS, version 4, will be as well.

And a new version of iLife 2010, the suite of applications which covers numerous bases from photos through movies to music.

We’ve only got to wait until a week tomorrow to find out, but doubtless more rumours will be flying before then.
