ANT Galio picked by CreNova

The UK-based ANT Galio platform has been chosen by the Germany-based set top box manufacturer CreNova Technology to make its latest range of set top boxes, which have been designed to bring the equipment up to European standards.

The latest version of set top box technology will involve the Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV standard, which is also known as the much easier to remember HbbTV Standard.

CreNova intends to supply these latest and much more flexible machines throughout the European market place.

The equipment will be able to offer the consumer access to catch-up TV services, video on demand and more interactive services such as longer adverts and marketing programmes.

HbbTV is a sort of open source for this technology and should allow many more businesses to get involved in the development of the next great idea.
