1 TB set top box launched by Sky TV

In its quest to bring new technology into the home, satellite broadcaster BSkyB has brought out a new set top box capable of handling anything that the broadcaster demands of the device.

The latest deign comes with a massive 1 TB hard drive, said to be the largest available in Europe at the moment and is capable of storing around two hundred and forty hours of high definition content; much more if standard definition is used.

This equipment is the next gen of set top boxes and will be 3D HDTV ready for when the broadcaster eventually launches the Sky 3D Channel.

The new set top box will set customers back £249, which is around £200 more than the current Sky+ HD set top box.
