Bringing the celebrity gardener back to the BBC was celebrated as being a coup over commercial TV and the 60 year old gardening expert is about to start a new gardening show for the BBC as well as other projects and shows.
But it seems while his management were finalising the deal, they must have also been taking to the UK’s largest garden centre chain.

He will also be appearing in the new B & Q catalogue.
However the BBC denies that any of the rules regarding product endorsements have been broken.
