ITV gets a new Chief

The wait is over for ITV and now the channel can begin its long awaited resurgence with the top job going to the former head of the Football Association and current boss of Royal Mail, Adam Crozier.

One of the main jobs for the new ITV chief executive will be to turn around the fall in advertising revenues because without this happening the broadcaster will not be able to make the many changes needed to set ITV on the road to recovery.

The appointment of Adam Crozier suggests that the ITV board expects changes to be made in all areas of the company and that has to include a major shake up of staff and content.

There is a suggestion that ITV would like to become the terrestrial version of BSkyB.
