Over the past year or so there has been an increase in the amount of live football being shown on terrestrial TV.
Only last night ITV was showing a live FA Cup replay.
Yet despite this disruption to the evening TV schedules there are no complaints from viewers, except from those who live over the Scottish border.
In Scotland the situation is different and football fans want it changed, starting with the coverage of all Scotland’s home games.
A survey found that eight out ten people that took part in the survey would like to see all of the national football team’s home matches shown live on terrestrial television.
These matches use to be shown on Setanta, but now they are shown on the pay-to-view satellite channel Sky Sports.
