First Freeview HD set top box goes on sale

Just in time for three major sporting events, the Champions League, Six Nations Rugby and the Winter Olympics, the Humax HD Fox T2 has gone on sale.

Freeview in high definition has arrived.

For the consumer this means a choice that requires some thought.

Should they subscribe to Sky TV HD for an extra £10 per month on top of their current package and get a set top box for free, or invest £180 into the Freeview set top box from Humax and receive these sporting events in high definition on the same channels completely free from subscription?

The Humax HD Fox T2 will be going on national release as from today or online from Humax direct.

This is where the battle for high definition domination starts.
