by Darren Allan

It has emerged that a number of police officers and Ministry of Justice employees have been hauled over the coals for misusing social networking sites.
In fact, four Justice staff have been sacked for inappropriate tweeting or Facebook status updating. Three people received final warnings, and over 40 staff have been disciplined over web misuse.
Scotland Yard admitted it has taken disciplinary action against 28 officers for violating police rules on social networking sites.
The details of these disciplinary measures were revealed via a request under the freedom of information act.
