Sky Mobile TV app comes to Nokia phones

Darren Allan

There’s a new app in the Ovi store, and it will allow Nokia owners to view Sky TV on their phones.

Sky Mobile TV is free, and lets Sky subscribers keep up with the news headlines, and sports action such as the Premier League highlights.

It can also be used to set your Sky box to record shows when you’re out and about, and you remember that you’ve forgotten about something (so to speak).

The not-so good news is that it only works on four Nokia phones currently – the Nokia N97, Nokia N97 Mini, Nokia 5530 and Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. Support for more models is coming, apparently.

It would seem there are some teething troubles, too, if the reviews on the Ovi store are anything to go by. There are plenty of complaints about the app not working properly, and not just from folks trying to install it on the wrong model phone.
