Motorola to launch Motoblur App

It was only the other day that Motorola announced it would be splitting into two distinctively separate businesses.

The company has tried to sell off its set top box business but there was little interest and so this business has been combined with its mobile business to form a new entity.

Now the company is looking for ways that set top boxes and mobile phones can be used together or even combined, to allow the consumer to share images, video and other types of multimedia between to the two devices.

This is where Motoblur comes in.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Motorola is planning to add this service to its set top boxes, and it will make accessing social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter through the set top box and mobile phone easier.
