For many consumers Freeview can be obtained from a digital TV tuner that is either built into the TV or comes as a set top box, but the launch of the Elgato EyeTV Netstream dual digital TV tuner will offer the consumer another choice of how they receive digital TV.
The device is simply plugged into the TV aerial socket and then connected to the home’s wireless router, allowing any computer in the home to pick up digital TV and that is not all, as the user will also be able to pause live TV and record programmes for later use.
The Elgato EyeTV Netstream dual digital TV tuner goes on sale this week in the UK and will cost around £230.
