Hulu and Simon Fuller’s 19 Entertainment, creator of globally recognized hit shows like Pop Idol, American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance, today announced Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010 as the premiere date of If I Can Dream, a groundbreaking weekly show that will launch exclusively on Hulu, with live streams available at ificandream.com.
If I Can Dream serves as Hulu’s first recurring show that will be available to worldwide audiences.
The show will offer online viewers an unprecedented entertainment experience with real-time interactive access to the lives of the five aspiring young artists living in Hollywood.
Combined, the weekly show on Hulu and the live stream at ificandream.com, Simon Fuller’s vision is that If I Can Dream will dramatically expand the borders of traditional television by harnessing the reach and accessibility of the internet.
In the first episode, audiences will have their first opportunity to see the truth behind what it takes to “make it” in Hollywood.
Specifically, the premiere will bring audiences right into the heart of the action as the five aspiring artists – a musician, an actor, two actresses and a model – leave behind their friends, family and hometowns and embark on a “Journey to Hollywood.”
