Sky News wins at RTS Awards

The team behind Sky News are celebrating after being named the News Channel of the Year at the Royal Television Society award ceremony.

In fact Sky News come away with four major prizes, including Alex Crawford being named TV Journalist of the Year and the chief correspondent for Sky News, Stuart Ramsay, and his news team winning an award for the Best International News, for their story about Pakistan and the connections with terrorism.

The Sky News channel was awarded the Innovative Award for its Fallen Heroes interactive display on the Sky News website, which was part of the channel’s tribute to those who have lost their lives in Afghanistan.

It seems that war still dominates the news and stories that give viewers in the UK a perspective of what it is like over there are the ones that are making their marks.
