It was back in 2003 when the logo for Digital TV was first created.
The ‘tick’ logo was first used in material and advertising for the digital switchover in 2004.
The logo demonstrates to the consumer that set top boxes, installers and other equipment are up to the job.
The consumer can feel relaxed about the quality of service, knowing that the digital tick is there.
But now it seems that the logo is about to phased out in favour of a more famous trade logo, the Kitemark.
As from 2013, the digital tick will begin to be phased out in favour of the new digital TV kitemark.
This is a logo that many people know as being reserved for products and services of quality and it is this impression that Digital UK wants to put across to the UK public.
