ESPN get the first euro Winter X Games

The satellite sports provider, ESPN, has announced that it has signed an agreement for the UK TV rights to the first ever Winter X Games in Europe.

The competition will be taking place in the Tignes ski resort in France.

This will be the first time the event has taken place outside of the US.

The Winter X Games comprise eight different ski and snowboard events for both men and women.

Competitors will include Jenny Jones, a snow boarder from England who became the first Brit to win a Winter X Games gold medal at last year’s event.

ESPN will be showing all of the action as it happens on ESPN and ESPN HD, starting on the 10th March and running though to the 12th March.
