BSkyB shows off 3D TV on the road

Sky TV is taking 3D HDTV on the road over the next twelve months or so, as the broadcaster plans to showcase its 3D TV service at major shopping centres and malls around the UK.

The first 3D TV Showcase will take place on the 12th March at the Westfield Shopping Centre in West London.

The company will be showing demos of events already shown on Sky TV such as live football and other sports events, as well as Ballet, films and music concerts.

Visitors to the expo will be given special polarised glasses to wears in order to experience the full 3D effect.

All visitors to the showcase will be able to enter a free competition to win a grand prize of a 3D Ready Television, Sky + HS set top box and a subscription to the top tier Sky TV package.
