Just as cable TV provider, Virgin Media, announced that it will be using the TiVo software in its set top boxes, TiVo has announced that it will be teaming up with Conax to offer a new integrated DVB set top box service.
The service will provide the end user with the TiVo user interface and personal video recorder capabilities.
Conax will be offering the product direct to the public in Europe which will allow consumers to use online television services in the same manner that US consumers have done.
It looks as if TiVo is going to become a visible name in the UK set top box market over the next year with this deal with Conax and with the Virgin Media deal too.
