Final Fantasy XIII is top of the UK all-format game chart, as put together by Chart Track.
The role-playing game broke this year’s unit shifting record, previously held by Battlefield: Bad Company 2 which was number one last week (and now slips to number two).
FF XIII must surely also have broken the record for the most sequels in a franchise, too…
Interestingly, more copies of the RPG were sold on the PS3 than the Xbox 360, by a margin of 54% to 46%.
Ubisoft’s Just Dance continues to strut its funky stuff at number three, with Heavy Rain at number four, and Wii Fit Plus huffing and puffing its way back up to number five.
Another game that refuses to stop selling, climbing back up one place to number six is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
In fact, Chart Track statistics say that Modern Warfare 2 has now become the second biggest selling game in the UK ever, overtaking Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
The best selling game of all time is Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training on Nintendo DS.
