Vodafone prepares Nexus One, HTC Legend and Desire

Vodafone is preparing to unleash a barrage of smartphone goodness in the near future, with three new models coming out.

These are Google’s troubled Nexus One, and the HTC Legend, along with the HTC Desire.

Funnily enough, the Nexus One is being troubled by the likes of these other phones with a similar spec from HTC.

The Desire has a 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, and a 1GHz processor, just like Google’s smartphone.

It also runs Android 2.1. The main difference between it and the Nexus One is an optical trackpad, and the fact that it employs the HTC Sense interface.

The HTC Legend is a beefier version of the company’s Hero phone, with a 3.2 inch AMOLED touchscreen, a 600MHz processor, optical trackpad, 5 megapixel camera, and Android 2.1.

The Nexus One was supposed to get the jump on these models in the UK, but now its launch has reportedly been delayed until next month, that isn’t the case any more.

All three handsets will be available next month on Vodafone, although tariff details haven’t yet been announced. You can expect to pay around the £30 to £35 per month mark.
