3D TVs sell out in the US

There is no doubt that 3D TV is one of the latest bits of technology to make the consumer go out and spend their hard earned cash, but even industry experts could not have predicted that when Panasonic launched its 3D TV in the US, it would sell out within a week.

These US sales figures have quashed any rumours that 3D TV is a fad and will not take off.

However, the product is yet to launch in the UK.

This will happen in May and stores are already taking orders for the equipment, which will cost around £3,000.

In the UK, the market is somewhat cynical as to why the consumer even has to buy a 3D TV when this format has already been shown on terrestrial television.

All of the doubts and expectation will be answered in May, when 3D TV comes to the UK.
