Weird and wonderful on Google Street View

Darren Allan

The latest round of updates to Google Street View’s UK photography, which has now focused 95% of the country under the search giant’s microscope, has brought some interesting images to light.

The one that appears to have caused the biggest stir is a seagull in a Brighton street, flying right up behind the Google camera with a chip in its mouth.

Not that there’s anything particularly unusual about a gull thieving a chip. After all, just like us, they need something to go along with their fish.

The Google Sightseeing website has also uncovered a few gems, such as a woman leaping up to the window and lifting her top to give a flash of bra to the Google snappers.

As the site points out, she probably didn’t realise that her place of work, and therefore herself could be, and indeed were identified from the shot.

The good news is her employer has a sense of humour, an increasingly rare commodity these days, and apparently the woman hasn’t got herself into any trouble.

In fact she’ll probably end up landing a series of adverts for Bravissimo on YouTube, or similar.
