Amazon has revealed its version of the Kindle software which will run on tablet computers including the iPad.
The move comes just after the Amazon launch of Kindle for the Mac, which we reported last week.
The tablet version of Kindle will apparently feature a fancy page turning animation, and other touches of detail such as a book menu screen where the sun rises and sets in the background in accordance with the actual time.
It will also come with the expected features such as the synchronisation of bookmarks and annotations between all Kindle devices.
As we reported this morning, the app approval process for the iPad is now open, and Amazon will have to submit its effort before the end of the week.
As to whether or not Apple will approve the Kindle app – well, that call should be interesting.
