There has been some controversy regarding the future launch of Sky TV’s 3D TV service, but any suspicions that a 3D TV deal was never going to happen have been quashed, as the satellite broadcaster has announced that on the 3rd of April Sky 3D will be launching.
According to the satellite provider, over a thousand pubs and clubs have signed up for the new service and the 3D TV channel will be launched with the Premier League match between Man Utd and Chelsea.
Sky is also suggesting that a further five matches will be shown in glorious 3D before the end of the season.
It seems that 3D TV is here to stay, even though a residential 3D TV service is not planned until later on in the year.
