If you’re getting sick of apps, and the ever-expanding number of app stores, then brace yourself for another flood of the punchy little programs onto the market.
These will, of course, be the apps written for the iPad, development of which already started some time ago for many companies.
Amazon, for example, has been busy developing a Kindle app for the tablet, perhaps somewhat surprisingly, given that the iPad will rival the Kindle hardware in the e-reading stakes.
Then again, if the iPad is the huge success Steve Jobs hopes, the online retailer will at least have a foot in the door.
At any rate, Amazon will now be able to submit the app to Apple, as the Cupertino based outfit has announced that it’s now accepting iPad apps for approval.
If developers want their app to be available from launch, the deadline for submission is this Saturday. So there’ll be a lot of frenzied work going on this week, doubtless.
The US launch date for the tablet is April 3rd, although the exact UK date is yet to be confirmed, it should be later on in April.
