Acer has taken the wraps off a new range of Aspire laptops which goes under the moniker of Timeline X.
Like the Timeline, the laptops are thin and light, and come in two different flavours, each with three screen sizes: 13.3 inch, 14 inch and the top end 15.6 inch model.
Power economy is one of the most important factors here, with the range carrying LED displays and low power hard drives to give a claimed battery life of up to 12 hours on some models.
That despite having Intel Core i3 and i5 processors beating at the heart of the lesser model, and the Core i7 in the premium version of the Timeline X.
Further stats include 3GB of memory and hard disk storage starting at 250GB, with extras such as an HDMI port and virtual surround sound delivered via the notebook’s twin speakers. (Can’t imagine that will be of any great quality, but you never know, it might not sound like a bee trapped in an empty baked bean tin).
The Timeline X range should be hitting the shelves in May, and prices will start at £599.
