3D TV too expensive for Brits

Is 3D TV doomed or just going to take longer to establish?

According to a recent survey it seems that while some UK viewers may be interested in 3D TV, there are several factors that could mean the launch of 3D TV in UK is going to be a long one.

The survey found the price of around £2,000 for new 3D Ready television to be too expensive, while over two thirds of those surveyed believed that wearing those 3D Glasses made them look stupid.

Twenty six per cent of the UK public are happy with 2D TV and just fewer than twenty per cent of those surveyed believed that 3D TV would just be a short lived fad!

The good news for the industry is that a third of households in the UK are interested in 3D TV so long as the cost of the 3D Ready TV is around £500!
