Householders in the Midlands have been given notice that their analogue TV signal will be switched off in a year’s time, although the digital switchover will not necessarily be taking effect in all parts of the region.
Only households that get the TV signal from the Lark Stoke, Ridge Hill and Wrekin Bromsgrove transmitter arrays will find that their analogue signal will be permanently switched off on the 20th April 2011.
However, households in Nottingham will switchover a week earlier as the transmitters that serve the area will be switched off and the digital signal will take over on the 13th April 2011.
The digital TV switchover is nothing to worry about and most households understand what it is all about.
It is just the minority that Digital UK must make sure are not left out.
