At a press conference in Korea, the electronics firm Samsung has unveiled what is being described as the world’s thinnest 3D TV and at 7.98 mm the 9000 series is certainly thin.
Not only is this television slim, it looks good too, with plenty of stainless steel on show, making a change from the usual black plastic that dominates most of the products in the TV market.
The new 3D TV will feature the Smart Control, a touch sensitive panel designed for easy use.
It will also feature the addition of Wi-Fi for easier connectivity.
With the launch of this TV Samsung has set itself some serious sales targets, wanting to match the sales of LED TVs in 2009 which reached 2.6 million.
