BBC pushes HD in Poland

The BBC is forging ahead with the expansion of its high definition channels and now it will be the Polish viewer that gets to see BBC content in fabulous high definition.

As from next month BBC HD will become available in Poland following carriage deals with the satellite broadcaster N and with the cable broadcaster UPC Polska some time later, although no firm dates have been given as to when BBC HD goes live on each platform.

The BBC already has a strong presence in Poland under the management of the commercial division BBC Worldwide, with many of the popular channels such as BBC Knowledge, BBC Lifestyle, CBeebies and BBC Entertainment already present in the country.
