The launch of 3D television started off with first set being offered at just under £2,000.
That was only a couple of months ago but now prices for the equipment have plummeted, proving the point that anyone buying in at the beginning of any product launch will be paying a premium.
Now it seems that Samsung will be launching a new LE40C750 40 inch HD 3D Ready LED TV, for around £920, which is a huge drop in price from the early versions.
The TV uses the 3D HyperReal engine, so that means it requires the viewer to wear 3D goggles and needs a source 3D signal, such as a digital satellite TV service or possibly the Blu-ray player, to provide 3D TV content.
