Bing to offer iPad/iPhone search

Currently Google is the default setting on the iPhone for search and apparently the search giants is paying Apple $100 million for the privilege, but there reports that this deal could be coming to an end with the launch of the new iPhone 4G.

It seems that according to industry reports, it could be Microsoft taking on search function for both the iPad and new iPhone 4G, with the Bing search service becoming the default search function.

There is some mileage in these claims, because earlier on in the year it was believed that both Microsoft and Apple were on talking terms when it comes to search.

However, maybe not as the default search provider, but rather as an option in similar a similar way to Yahoo!
