Speculation is flowing around the internet on what will be said at the Apple Conference to be held at the firm’s California headquarters this evening.
First up has to be clarification of the issue affecting the iPhone 4; is there a problem with the antenna, is it software or the way that the user holds the device?
Once this is established, then what is the solution?
It has been estimated that to recall the devices could cost as much as $1.5 million, so that is no likely to happen.
Even a free bumper case could cost Apple around $50 million.
The smart money would be on the way that the user holds the device as according to reports, touching a certain point on the left hand side of the phone can cause the signal to drop off.
