ITV creates new sci-fi series

ITV is producing a new and exciting science fiction fantasy drama series called The Oaks, which follows a house over the last fifty years, as well as the families that live in it.

The five-part series is a departure for ITV. The last real science fiction series to be produced by the broadcaster was Primeval, which was cut but is now in the process of being revised in a joint venture.

The Oaks starts in the 1960s and follows the different families that have lived in the building to the present day.

The link is the spirit of a young girl who died in the building during the early 1960s.

The series stars Alex Kingston and Jodie Whittaker. No release date has been given yet.

Ghost stories aren’t sci-fi, they’re paranormal fantasy. Get your genres right
