Android 2.2 Rom leaked for Samsung Galaxy S

The Samsung Galaxy S smartphone has been going down a storm since its launch, establishing itself as a clear iPhone rival (with not a case bumper in sight, either).

And now the latest version of Android, 2.2 or Froyo, is available for the handset, albeit in the form of an unofficial Rom.

The leaked Rom is an early version which it’s claimed is stable but has a number of bugs – it comes with the caveat that it’s installed at your own risk.

Indeed, the bugs sounds numerous, such as freezing and crashing while surfing, and no camera flash, to mention just a couple.

We’d be inclined to wait for the official release of 2.2 which is coming to the Galaxy S in September, all being well. Still, more adventurous S owners might want to give this a shot. Find the Rom here (link courtesy of The Inquirer), and read the warning gumph carefully.
