Kanye West follows Coventry man on Twitter

Kayne West has just signed up to Twitter and made something of an enigmatic move, to say the least.

The rap star and record producer started up his Twitter account to inform us, amongst other things, that the bottom row of his front teeth has been replaced by real diamonds (a truly extortionate dental bill).

His followers have quickly hit the stratosphere, accelerating to 380,000 as of this morning, but what’s really strange is that he’s only chosen to follow one solitary person.

And that solitary person is ste_101, or Steven Holmes from Coventry. Who is just some ordinary bloke from the West Midlands.

Kanye started following Steven after he asked the rap star about his teeth: “Do you clean them with colgate or polish?”

When he thanked Kanye for following him, West replied enigmatically: “You are the chosen one dun dun dun dun.”

Of course, it’s something of a publicity stunt and one that’s working to bring his new Twitter account to the headlines. Poor old Steven, however, is getting some jealous flak it would seem.

He tweeted: “It’s a sad state of affairs that some people in the world are jealous of another person for something so trivial. Some ppl have… gotta sort out [their] priorities!! Haha.”

Holmes now has 1670 followers, and he’s feeling the pressure to tweet about something interesting. Recent pearls of wisdom include the fact that flat Irn Bru and vodka is “surprisingly good”.
